The pressures of life brings anyone to a halt, but the believer has a special place to run to – prayer. Desperate situations and dire circumstances push us around and the believer wants those things to be addressed immediately. But experience tells us that the Lord doesn’t (always) answer us immediately. Such are the times we are called to pray and pray more earnestly. Waiting on Him and patiently praying. He will answer us in due time, meanwhile He works inside of us forming Christ-likeness and He will answer us in providing for our every need in His Son.

MINISTRY REPORT FROM MAY 2023

INESCAPABLE 2023 – EVANGELISTIC CAMP
The annual evangelistic camp of YFC was held from 31st   May to 3rd   June 2023 in AGLC. 330 young people attended the camp this year, of which 60% attended the camp for the first time. The main speaker for the camp was Mr. Cyril Georgeson. The seminars and workshops were on different challenges of life and how to face them with the help of God. These sessions were handled by the following speakers:- Rev. Zephaniah Peter, Mr. Paul Balasundaram, Mr. Santhosh Vennamalla, Mr. Sam Seelam, Mrs. Subha Seelam, Mr. Ben Ebenezer and Mr. Joshua John. In this camp, about 67 young people committed to the Lord for the first time and about 123 young people recommitted their life to God.

A few testimonies from the Camp:

 This camp was truly a blessing, I used to think I was righteous because I read the Bible, prayed every day, went to church regularly, have no bad habits and relationships but after coming here God has shown me my wicked ways, pride, overconfidence, constantly judging and gossiping which I need to get rid of with the help of God. – Neha Diana

 It showed me that I need not be perfect before God to accept me. I can go to God as a sinner and he will change me. – John Albert

 It helped me realize that salvation is free and no amount of good works will get you to heaven. D. Shadrach.

VOLUNTEERS’ MEET
It was a joy to see the group leaders and volunteers along with the staff meet on Saturday’s 13th   , 20th   and 27th   of May to pray, plan and prepare for the camp.

CHURCH MINISTRY
Sathish preached the Word in Methodist church, Langer house on the 28th of May. Rohan preached the word at Wesley Church clock tower Youth Fellowship on 20th of May. Ben was involved in VBS ministry in United Church Defence Colony and in Vimukthi Baptish Church Neredmet from 1st   May to 7th May. He also preached in United Church youth fellowship on the 14th of May and spoke in the English Service on the 21st   of May in the same church. I preached the Word in Christ Church Ramkote on the 28th of May.

 IYFC STAFF CONFERENCE
We had our IYFC Staff conference in Yercaud from the 23rd   to 26th of May, Sathish and I attended and were blessed by the Word shared in the conference.

FOLLOW UP MEETING
We are all getting ready for the follow up on the 10th   of June and the discipleship session with young people who made commitment in the month of July. Please keep us in your prayers.

Dear YFC Family,

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:3)

That’s the picture of a saved person! The roots of his soul drink deep from the living waters of God’s Word. And as he is nourished by the life-giving source of God’s Word, each day he is transformed into the likeness of His Son as He bears the fruit of the Spirit. For such a life brings glory to God, joy to oneself and blessing to others. May we strive to deepen our roots in His Word.

MINISTRY REPORT FROM APRIL 2023

FINALLY - THE LIGHTHOUSE IS READY
We are more than thrilled to share with you a dream of many years of the Lighthouse Project become a reality. We lift up our hearts with gratitude and joy in praising God for His merciful work. Thank you all for generously and graciously donating towards this cause. It was inaugurated on the 1st of May. The inauguration was followed by a brief meeting of singing, preaching and a time of testimony. Truly, we watched a miracle happen and we thank God for each one of you. VBS MINISTRY & CHURCH MINISTRY
Rohan was involved in VBS ministry at Wesley Church, Ramkote, he also preached the Word at their church youth fellowship on the 1st of April. Sathish preached the Word at Methodist Church, Lungerhouse on the 23rd of April. Nehemiah preached the Word at Mennonite Brethren youth fellowship on the 23rd and 30th of May to a group of youngsters in the context of them being baptized. I preached the Word at Christ Church on the 7th of April on Good Friday.

INESCAPABLE – THE SUMMER GOSPEL CAMP 2023
Preparations are on the way for this year’s summer camp from the 31st of May to the 3rd of June,2023, at Ashirwad Global Learning Center. Mr. Cyril Georgeson will be the main speaker, while the staff and other speakers will handle other sessions. Please reach out to young people (aged 15-30) to be a part of this 3 day residential camp. The main objective is to present the Gospel and lead people into the Lord.

PREPARATORY CAMP FOR THE GOSPEL CAMP
On the 14th & 15th, a group of 28 volunteers attended a camp to pray, plan and prepare for the upcoming Gospel camp. Each of these youngsters are part of different planning groups and they are working towards making the camp a meaningful one for the campers.

A SPECIAL REQUEST
This camp is a unique opportunity to preach the Gospel. We don’t charge the young people the total amount so they wouldn’t miss being there. The cost for each young person is ₹4000/-, we only charge them ₹1500/- and the remaining amount is borne by Hyderabad YFC. The total camp cost for around 350 young people is ₹14,00,000/-. Would you join hands in sponsoring a few young people. You are free to either make a one time donation or sponsoring a few youngsters. We really need your support to make this a possibility.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:2)

Who a man is in his heart, is who he is. Anyone whose life has been saved by the gospel experiences a progressive change of desires and delights. Psalm 1 presents the happiness(es) of a believer whose life is rooted in the Word that both saves, sanctifies and satisfies us. The delight of believers in God revealed in His Word makes them desire and dwell upon it incessantly. May our spiritual sanity be restored to dwelling and delighting upon God through consistent meditation upon His Word.

MINISTRY REPORT FROM MARCH 2023

CHURCH & YOUTH FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY
Sathish preached at Methodist Church, Lungerhouse on the 26th of March. Nehemiah preached at the following places: at Gospel Life Church on the 12th, at Baptist Church, Vanasthalipuram on the 19th & at Neil Methodist Church Youth Fellowship on the 26th. I also had the opportunity to preach during the Lent Season at the following places: at Christ Church on the 1st & 28th, at St. George’s Church on the 15th of March, at United Church, BHEL on the 20th of March. Also I preached at St. Thomas SPG Tamil Cathedral on the 26th of March..

HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Our pursuit to help and encourage the non-local students preparing for competitive exams in Hyderabad is still on. We met twice on the 6th & 22nd of March. It’s a time of teaching, talking and having a meal together with them.

LIGHTHOUSE IS ALMOST READY!
We are truly delighted to share with you that YFC Lighthouse renovation work is near completion now. We are working towards a thanksgiving meet on the 1st of May. More details will be shared with you soon.

 INESCAPABLE – THE SUMMER EVANGELISTIC CAMP
We are gearing up for the Evangelistic camp. This year we will be having 2 camps, one in Telugu (May 13th – 17th, 2023) & the other in English (May 31st -3rd June, 2023).

We share this news with you with a mixed feeling. Nehemiah has been a great blessing to YFC ministry in Hyderabad, he served in YFC for 15 years, he is now burdened to be equipped and prepare for pastoral ministry. We wish him God’s best as he takes this new journey. Please keep him in your prayers.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude towards the Lord for his provision towards the ministry and the Lighthouse project. Thank you for your generous & sacrificial support. May God bless you.
